Sparkle Into Fall: Zoya Alegra

Hey everybody!  I've been seeing posts about the new beautiful Zoya collections everywhere, and UGH are they pretty.  But until I can bulk up ye olde cash coffers, I have to dip into my Zoya reserves for some awesomeness.  Not that that's a BAD thing.  Today I am showing you a polish that, in my opinion, looks like an autumn pink...the ofttimes (and inexplicably)  ignored Zoya Alegra.

Alegra is from the 2010 Sparkle Collection.  How very appropriate.  Oh, and a fellow polish from that collection was Ivanka, if that tells you anything.  Criminally sparklicious.

Alegra (I just love that name) is one glittery metallic babe.  This fuchsia is extremely attention-grabbing.  Why, all day long, I was staring at my own hands... :)  I think this color looks like an autumn pink because something about it makes me think of leaves changing.

Hmmmm...it appears that I shouldn't have brushed my puppies right before taking photos... :D  But hey, LOOK at that sparkle!  And 3 coats for me and still some visible nail line...how DOES she do it??

And my favorite characteristic of Alegra?  It has the amazing ability to make me appear even whiter! :)  I look like a snowstorm with fingers whilst wearing this lovely polish. :)

What do you think of the elegant Miss Alegra?  I'll NOT use the word stunning. ;)  I'll let you apply the appropriate adjective!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely evening! :)

  4. Hi Melissa "I let you apply the appropriate adjective" - haha!!!! Well put - so here we go: amazeballs, need sunglasses to bear the sparkiliciousness, beautiful, stunning, etc. And snow storm? Hilarious :-D!!! As for Alegra: I am so with you - it got far less stage time than it would have deserved - but I think Charla and Ivanka took all the hype and the other shades released were shoved to backstage :-(. Alegra suits you perfectly and thank you for bringing this gem back to the front!!!

    1. Thanks Christine! <3 I love Alegra so much, but considering Charla and Ivanka are the green and teal from the collection, I can see why it gets forgotten sometimes. I'm 2 days in a row on this one, and that's saying a lot. :)

  5. As Christine mentioned, Charla also hails from this collection and that is Top 5 pour moi. The whole collection is ridic, though, and I agree that Alegra deserves more credit... I mean, come on, a hot fuschia glass fleck?! To die for!! Clearly, there is much awesomeness to be had in the Zoya reserves. This is gorgeous against your porcelain complexion.

    1. Thank you dear. <3 Would you believe I still don't own Charla? Seriously. But you've gotta love a mind-blowing collection like this.

  6. A snowstorm with fingers sounds terrifying. That is purely speculation given my lack of exposure to snow of any kind. But I imagine that your hands are not even a modicum of the teribbleness I imagine a snowstorm with fingers being. So rest easy :) Not only that, but your skin tone plays so well with Alegra so it's hard to fault it! So much sparkly goodness!

    2. LOL!! I was wondering if you would. :D I get you though about the word stunning. But all these darn polishes are just SO stunning! And incidentally, I love polishes that make me look even whiter. My color is the only remarkable thing about me, LOL.

I don't know...don't you think a snowstorm with fingers could possibly be an old medieval legend used to frighten children into obedience or something? :P
