Am I Dreaming? Pipe Dream Polish Pink Elephants and Lemonade

Hey everybody!  I hope you all have been doing well.  I've been out of town for a few days, but I'm back now.  I've got a really adorable polish to show you today by a relatively new indie label called Pipe Dream Polish.  Creator April has made some very interesting and beautiful polishes, and this one just stood out immediately to me:  Pink Elephants and Lemonade. :)

Pipe Dream Polish Pink Elephants and Lemonade

Isn't this polish pretty?  It's described as "medium and small hot pink and deep yellow matte glitters in a dusty turquoise crelly base."  I have to admit, I bought this because I was so curious as to how it would look in person.  It's an unusual look that works.

Pipe Dream Polish Pink Elephants and Lemonade

Pink Elephants and Lemonade's name is taken from a Madonna song called Dear Jessie.  I have no idea what that song is...you mean Madonna made something after Material Girl?? :P  Personally, it brings to mind the song from Dumbo called Pink Elephants on Parade...you remember, the creepy sequence where it looked like Dumbo and Timothy Mouse were completely toasted?

Pink Elephants and Lemonade applied like a dream.  And not a pipe dream either...a real dream! :)  I used 3 coats for the photos, but you could use 2 if you so desired.  And there was ZERO cleanup.  I so love that in a polish...

He's almost pink!! :)

You can purchase Pink Elephants and Lemonade and other Pipe Dream Polish creations on Etsy.  Check them out...April has some really pretty things on sale right now! :)

I wanted to feature this sweet and fun polish because I want to show you why I haven't posted for a week...I've been adjusting to life with my new babies!  Meet Angelo and Nicolo...

I've made no secret about being brokenhearted over the death of my dog Sebastian.  One of the reasons I started my blog was to take my mind off losing him.  These little brothers came at just the right time.  I traveled to North Carolina over the weekend to pick them up...and they really are as sweet as they look. ;)

Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely evening!

  4. You find the most awesome indies!!! THANKS for that, btw! ;-) lol I'm really digging dusty blue lately...I seriously almost picked up 3 different shades of it from Sinful Colors the other day. :-P
And oooohh.myyyy.goooodness., your new baby boys are BEYOND ADORABLE! <3 <3 <3
They look identical to a litter one of our dogs had years ago. I'm so glad you were able to find two new fuzzballs to warm your heart with warm fuzzies. :-) I know how much it hurts to lose a beloved canine - my first dog that was all my own got hit by a car when I was 11, so my heart goes out to you, losing your baby. :'-(

Oh - almost forgot - couldn't agree more about polish that needs no cleanup!! Makes me one HAPPY camper! ;-)

  9. I love how you keep showing up with indies I've never heard of! So fun to learn about new entrepreneurs. It makes me happy :) Ehh... Madonna made a song called Dear Jesse?

That pink elephant sequence... omgosh, SOOOO many early Disney fi;m sequences that look riddled with illicit substance references and influence... And somehow, NOBODY does elephants as creepily as Disney. :/
Anyhoo... Totally fun and unique polish, this is! Some of these indie gals are just so very creative. And your new bebes are adorable ♥♥♥

    1. Aw thanks... I love my babies!! :) I love to find indie companies that aren't well known... I have spent entire Saturday mornings doing just that. :) There are so many out there that make just gorgeous stuff and I want to share it.
And yes, Disney has a dark side. Remember hauling off the donkeys in Pinocchio?? Shudder...

  10. Hi Melissa - oh where should I start? Pink Elephants and Lemonade - I feel tempted to buy this polish for the name only, how utterly sweet!!! The combination of the dusty turquoise teal with those glitters are drop dead gorgeous - well you pay me back for tempting you - I experience serious polish temptation here ;-)!!! For your record: you got me totally hooked on Pahlish - I have one errr two in my NOTD's tomorrow and one is on the way to me as I type this. And welcome to your new fur-babies. I can imagine how devastated you must have been upon loosing Sebastian. The two boys look just too cute - I certainly would have already found myself on your doorstep to visit them if I would live any closer (I leave it up to you to be delighted or scared over this idea ;-)).

    1. Delighted!!! <3 They are so precious...but it's like having babies around, and I've never had a baby, LOL! You would absolutely love this polish...it's so unusual and applies so well. I love it even more than I thought I would. And I got YOU hooked on something?? One point for me, haha!! There is a whole LIST of stuff you've gotten me hooked on! Now I've just got to break down and buy it all...

    2. Of course you hook me - every so often, you are VERY inspiring to me <3!! I never had a baby either - and we adopted Nell when he was 2 - so we got him when he was a naughty Teenager ;-)!!! I hope one day I will have a kitten or a pup too - just once.... It would be so awesome - enjoy the time. They must be so fun - already chewing on your furniture, shoes, anything?

    3. Oh yes...they like my shoes. And my fingers. And my earrings. :D And I meant I never had a BABY baby...I can't even change a diaper, LOL...

Awww...you're so sweet. You are so inspiring to me too! I'm feeling the love today! <3
