First, as always, I have to show you the package I got. :)
Ooooh, ooooh, witchy puppy... |
When we think of Halloween colors, we always think of orange. But purple is another fun color...kind of the cartoonish side of Halloween, especially when it's combined with green. Tawdry Terrier Dawg of the Dead is a perfect example of this.
Dawg of the Dead is described as "a bright purple glass fleck polish with a mix of orange, purple, red violet, lime green, and emerald green glitter. This polish is great for zombies, monsters, and other kinds of ghouls!" Ahem...I personally think it's great for me. :D
Isn't this fun? Makes me want some Halloween candy! :) I especially love the big lime hexes. And I threw in a blurred bottle shot to give you an idea of the sparkle factor!
I used 2 coats of Dawg of the Dead for full coverage. The formula is easy to work with, and as with all Tawdry Terrier polishes, there was zero cleanup.
Next I have a polish generously gifted to me by the Tawdry Terrier ladies. There's only one problem...it's got a name I can't say. :D I'll asterisk it for your amusement: Bloodsucking B*tch! Hey...I know one of those... :P
Isn't this a pretty little bloodsucker?? Bloodsucking B*tch is described as "a black glass fleck polish with red and silver shimmer and a mix of red and black glitter. This is a perfect polish for vicious vampires and wicked witches!" Oh, and me. :D
Now, I love black and glitter, and this one doesn't disappoint! Oh, and in case you thought there were limited colors in this one:
You didn't realize all that was in there, did you? This polish had an excellent formula...very smooth with even application and no cleanup at all. I used 2 coats for a hauntingly lovely look. ;)
The Haunted Howlaween collection by Tawdry Terrier is available on Etsy. Your entire Tawdry Terrier experience, from the lovely packaging to the matching tissue to the beautiful polishes, is always a pleasant one.
Be sure to check out the other polish in the Haunted Howlaween collection, a fall festival in a bottle called Pumpkin Patch Pooch. And speaking of a pumpkin patch pooch...
Nicky awaits the Great Pumpkin! |
Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely evening! :)
These look great on you! I knew the black would be gorgeous with your skin tone!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! You knew I would look like the UNDEAD, didn't you?? :P It's a beautiful polish! Thank you so much. I have another polish similar to BB (black base, red glitter), but the formula wasn't nearly as easy to work with as yours is. :)
DeleteThese look great on you! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd your dog is such a cutie!
DeleteThanks! :) He is as sweet as he is cute. And the Howlaween collection is just lovely. These are two of my favorites. <3
DeleteMy favorites of all your polishes, that is. ;)
DeleteOooh, love Dawg of the Dead - it does look like candy:) What a fun nail polish. That is the cutest puppy picture ever. You better PIN it on Pinterest. It looks like a post card.
ReplyDeleteI know, right? It reminds me of Wonka wrappers! :) Aww, thanks...Nicolo is so photogenic and stays still for me. I tried one with Angelo, and he was doing everything from chewing on the pumpkin to tapdancing...
DeleteThanks for all the laughs, lol! I am loving both colors, Dawg of the Dead has the most unique look and Bloodsucking B*tch has an awesome name! Nicky takes it away with the adorable category! <3
ReplyDelete:D They are both lovely, aren't they? And thanks...he is pretty darn adorable! <3
DeleteHi Melissa, awesome the two of them!!!! I particularly like the purple one!!! I cannot remember having seen anything alike!!!! We do not celebrate Halloween here or let's just say very differently. Kids carve faces in a hollowed out cabbage and put a little candle in it and walk the villages in groups. This Tradition is more kept alive in rural areas. But parties and stuff Start to swap over the Atlantic ;-)
ReplyDeleteHey Christine! :) Dawg of the Dead is quite different...it's an unusual purple, and I love it. <3 I have to say, I had not heard of hollowing out cabbages!! I know that the US makes a Halloween a huge day as opposed to other countries...but I love to dress up. :D
DeleteIs Nicky your dog? He is soooo cute awww! :D Both of these polishes are really fun! I like how colorful they are, especially the purple one. :)
ReplyDelete~ Yun
Yes, Nicolo is my baby, along with his twin brother Angelo, who isn't quite ready for prime time picture posing. :P Yes, they are both fun polishes and great for Halloween. :)
DeleteAnd of course I loved that picture of your beloved Nicky - how are the puppies?
ReplyDeleteThank you! <3 They are doing well...growing right up...they're about 6 pounds now and calming down a *little* bit, LOL...
DeleteDawg of the Dead is soo sparkly! That's my favorite. Awee, Nicky is so cute! <3
ReplyDeleteIt is awfully purty! :) And thanks...that's my boy! <3 One of them, anyway. :P
