However, there ARE things about warmer months that bring a smile to my face, such as homeade ice cream...store bought ice cream...ice cream cones. I like ice cream a lot...it's one of my indulgences. What an awesome segue! :) Today's post is the absolutely beautiful new Summer Indulgences Collection by Pretty Jelly. Lovely Miss Liz says about her charming creations: "Whether it's chasing down your favorite bands at music festivals, sipping your favorite drinks while reading a book, or taking a nap among the flowers - this summer take a moment to indulge in your favorite things."

First up, we have Daydream, a white base with green, yellow, and neon pink glitters. I used 3 coats for the pics over China Glaze Princess Grace, which, I discovered, is pretty much the worst polish ever invented. Daydream still looks lovely over it though...very soft and feminine. :)
Festival is a really fun glitter topper filled with neon pink, blue, green, yellow and white glitter. There are also green and white stars and small blue bars. This is an excellent glitter that behaves very well on the nail. :) I layered 2 coats over OPI You're Such a Budapest to get the partaaaaaay started.
Electric Limeade is a light yellow creme base with neon green and neon blue glitter. And this limeade is electric because of the holographic glitter! Just look at that delicious sparkle! :) You could use 3 coats on its own, but I used 4 for the photos. Mmmmmm! I'll take another glass, please!
UGH!! How pretty is this one?? This beautiful glitter topper is Wildflowers, a mix of pale purple, pink, blue, yellow, grey glitters. And the pink is CIRCLE glitter! This is 2 coats of Wildflowers over L'Oreal Club Prive, but you could even layer this one over a sausage and cheese biscuit and it would look great.
And now for the pièce de résistance: Melon Sangria! I know you all just *love* all my food references...so let's say it together: FRUIT SALAD!! Melon Sangria is a coral jelly packed with large white, green, yellow, orange, and pink hex glitters. I layered 2 coats over OPI Suzi's Hungary Again!...I really don't know why it looks patchy in the pics, because it didn't in the least in real life. It's pretty squishtastic. And so awesome that it wins the coveted ring shot:
|Now THAT'S some Pretty Jelly.|
What do you guys think? :) All 5 of these polishes are crazy gorgeous and behave so nicely. Application is great and the dry time is very fast. The Summer Indulgences Collection is already making me feel better about the quickly approaching season. That and ice cream.
You can purchase the Summer Indulgences Collection and other Pretty Jelly polishes on Etsy!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely Monday! :)
This is such a fun Summer collection! Even though I am not a fan of bar glitter, I love the colors in Festival! Electric Limeade is probably my favorite overall. :)ReplyDelete
Festival is great and the bar glitter is not problematic in the least. And yes, Electric Limeade is rather delish. :)Delete
The piece de resistance, indeed. Before I even read that I was all, "Oooooh...." Totally fun collection all the way around. Star glitter makes me happy :) I love summer and everything about it, lol, but I guess we can still be friends ;)ReplyDelete
;) I'm glad!! I really like star glitter too, especially when it stays nice and flat on the nail. :)Delete
I'm like you. Not a huge fan of the summer because of all the sweating, haha. Great colors :)ReplyDelete
Thanks! Sweating is a way of life where I live, LOL...Delete
"...but you could even layer this one over a sausage and cheese biscuit and it would look great." BAHAHAHAHA!!!! :-P Ahhh you're hilarious! You're right, that is a very lovely polish - well, they all are, but I do declare Wildflowers & Melon Sangria are my faves. :-) I think I have a thing for melon-y colored polishes...I ordered Jindie Nails Fantastical without a second's hesitation, and I have a L'Oreal, an OPI, and probably others. Oh duh, I JUST ordered ChG Shell-O! ;-)ReplyDelete
Say, what do you get when you cross a cantaloupe with a Lassie dog? A meloncollie!! :-P I think that is one I've heard before, but not quite like that, so I can say I made it up, right? ;-)
:D Nothing like glittery breakfast food! I'm with you...I love the whole collection, but I'm *really* loving Wildflowers and Melon Sangria! :)Delete
Yeeeeahhh...pretty sure you just convinced me to head on over to Etsy to pick up Melon Sangria, and Strawnana looks GORGIE too!!! :D Did you see that one?! I love that it has a smattering of the tiny silver holo specks in it!Delete
I did see Strawnana...it's very pretty too. And it doesn't hurt that it looks so much like dessert.Delete
Oh dear, these polishes are dangerous. I was considering a No Buy and you are making it especially difficult :) Blast you and your lovely swatches!ReplyDelete
:D I consider that a huge compliment, so thank you!! They are pretty awesome.Delete
These are beautiful! And I wouldn't like summer either if it were as hot and humid as it is where you are. Your winter is like our summer up here:)ReplyDelete
Thanks for understanding. I knew I was risking alienating people with my admission! :P If you don't like summer, there's always summery polish. :DDelete
Melon Sangria is so cute I love it!! I also really like your pairing of Wildflower with that base color! And ice cream... mmm.. I want! And how could you not like summer?? Girlfriend you crazy!ReplyDelete
Girlfriend...move to Southeast Georgia...that's how. :PDelete
Thanks! I love Wildflowers over Club Prive too. :)
I know what you mean about summer. When I used to live on the east coast, I hated summer too. It was so muggy and hot, and even though it's sunny, everyone always hid indoors with A/C. But I love summers now since we moved to the northwest. It doesn't get that warm here (just 70s mostly) and the lack of humidity is awesome. :)ReplyDelete
Daydream and Electric Limeade are both so pretty and sweet! Lovely for summer. :)
They are sweet, aren't they?Delete
Wow...I simply would not even know how to behave in a summer like that. :P
Hi Melissa, what a great post!!! Beautiful photos and such witty comments - love it!!!! I also favour the "piėce de résistance" so juicy - I just how lovely it would be to slurp some watermelon. I came to dislike summer as well over the past couple of years - we don't have many places with A/C and right now we live through some days with sweltering 90+ but tonight it should come to an end!!! My body just doesn't appreciate those extreme changes in temperatures anymore. So, got to hurry and flee my place (no A/C) and seek refuge in my office ;-)ReplyDelete
Thanks so much Christine! :) Extreme temperature changes are difficult...but where I live, it's pretty much at least warm most of the time. When we get cold weather, it's like a holiday, LOL...:)Delete
These polishes simply look amazing and are really unique! Melon Sangria looks gorgeous - I want ice cream now! :DReplyDelete
I always want ice cream!! :D They are all very pretty. They make me happy. :)Delete
