OPI Diva of Geneva |
Diva of Geneva is from the Swiss Collection of 2010. I had originally purchased this polish with the hope that it would be about the same color as My Big Break, which is my all-time favorite OPI. I had a bottle of the latter that I finally had to part with when the lid got completely stuck to the bottle. :( But as it turned out, Diva of Geneva was quite a bit darker.
A perfect Swiss Miss |
Diva of Geneva is described by about everyone else as purple-pink, but on me, it's a plummy wine with a subtle shimmer. I *love* this color...it's always my go-to wine hue.
Cleanup on Aisle 3...somebody just passed out from all the gorgeousness! |
The only down side to this polish is that it's not as forgiving as, say a foil finish...OPI's brush is too wide for my ridiculously tiny nails and I have to pay very close attention when I apply this polish. It's worth it though...it's a very elegant color.
Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon? |
So, if you dare to release your inner diva, pick up Diva of Geneva. And don't be surprised if you start ordering people around. :P
Have a lovely evening! :)
Thaaaaank you Melissa :D I am not a huge fan of OPI to be honest but hello! I think I need to pick up this polish asap! X
ReplyDelete:) I'm pretty sure this is still a part of the core line...it's really lovely!
DeleteGreat shade of purple! I don't own much purples surprisingly so I really need to fix that, haha!
ReplyDeleteYou can't tell I love it, can you? :P
DeleteBeautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! I also checked out My Big Break and that definitely is RIGHT up my alley! Love that ring too. :-D Did you notice my LS ring I had to include in my last post? ;-)
ReplyDeleteYes! Hey...the jewelry is part of the overall look! :P Yeah...I really need another My Big Break.
DeleteSo, went to our local shopping centre where they have OPI and did they have this? NO! I was devastated! They have such a limited range of colours here its not funny! This is the first swatch I looked at and I have to have it, ebay it is I guess! Fingers crossed! x
ReplyDeleteEbay will certainly have this! :)
DeleteSo pretty!! I have small nails, too, though, and while I love OPI (particularly this year, lol) I, too, have to be super careful with application because of that big brush. My Big Break is gorgeous, too. OPI does the nicest subtle but deep shimmers ♥
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Yes...and aren't pinkies the *worst* with a wide brush? :(
DeleteThank you! ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish OPI's had the small Essie or China Glaze brush! Much easier!
ReplyDeleteUgh isn't this one gorgeous?? I used to only wear this polish for a few months I loved it so much! haha You really captured the color beautifully =)
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Yes, it would be easy to wear this one for months and months! ;)
DeleteI have Diva of Geneva and I used to wear it all the time. I think my bottle is almost half empty. It is a beautiful color and you are right, it works so well with your skin tone.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) You know you have a winner when you've used half the bottle. ;)
DeleteThat polish is so gorgeous! I have been meaning to buy this polish because it's such a classic color. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a real stunner! :)
