Barielle Jess' Champagne Toast |
Jess' Champagne Toast is a lavender-blue-grey metallic frost with rose glitter. How's that for complicated?
The frost isn't too frosty though...it's not a brushstroke nightmare.

The rose glitter is very tiny and delicate and doesn't look quite like it does in the bottle.

I have read other reviews that say this dried very bumpy for them, but I didn't have that problem. I used 3 thin coats, and the dry time is incredibly fast.
The light picks up the delicate sparkle |
There is something sort of antique about this color. I think it's quite lovely. I have always been fond of lavender, and the rose glitter in this makes it unlike anything else I've seen. But you have to be in *just* the right light to catch the full beauty of the unusual glitter.
Sometimes you wanna sparkle...sometimes you don't. |
What do you think of Jess' Champagne Toast? Do you have a polish that's gotten a bad rap from others, but you love it? I have a lot like that...that's just me. So just send me your unwanted polishes, and I'll love them and see their true beauty and build their self-esteem so that they can hold their brushes high!! :P
Have a great Monday! :)
:) This is really pretty on you. Ya know, I don't think I anything like this in my whole collection! Where do you find this brand? I have heard of it, but I thought it was only available overseas. Yes, I think Butter London No More Waity Katie gets a bad rap and it's actually a great polish if you look at the glitter in a different way....not sparkly. I think people need to learn to love it for what it is...more of a matte glitter in a jelly base. Have a great night!
ReplyDeleteNext time you're in TJ Maxx or Marshall's, head back to the beauty products. I *always* find Barielle polishes in sets for an insanely good deal. This one came in a set of 5 full size bottles for $9.95. :)
DeleteI've wondered about No More Waity, Katie. It does look very unique. I think I like it? LOLOL...
Wow what an interesting shade! I love that it somehow manages to be both purple AND silver! Great pictures too. You captured the uniqueness so well =)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, it's quite the interesting little gal. And you know, I kinda like it that it has so many quirky characteristics. :)
DeleteWow this is so different! Love this colour! I am a sucker for purple...why!?! Hahaha x
ReplyDeleteBecause it's so awesome!! :P
DeleteGreat color! Really unique :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! It sure is! ;)
DeleteThis is really lovely on you! I love that it's got rose colored glitter. I'm a fan of light frosty/pearly colors so there you have it. I think there are, like, five nailistas in existence who actually still like and wear those, lol.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) I actually saw a review for this polish that made a negative reference to "80's nails"...the nerve! I was a teenager in the 80's and it was the best time ever!! They're just jealous! :)
