"Roseate: rose-colored / optimistic"
One reason Liz of Pretty Jelly is one of my very favorite polish designers is because she names her polishes the most wonderfully intellectual names. You simply can't imagine a Pretty Jelly polish called "Vulture Vomit" or "My Real Name is Mrs. Clooney". Another reason is because I love Every.Single.Thing she makes!! :/ Roseate is even lovelier than I thought it would be: a delicious pinky-rosy-nude that plays office nicely but explodes in the sunlight. I'm serious. It looks like a very well-behaved neutral, but pass by a window, and your secret's out! :)
I'm sorry...is it just me, or is this divine? :) I'm not usually one to brag about something looking good on me, but I absolutely LOVE Roseate on me. It seems to have been designed for my skin tone. And that gorgeous holo flash! <3 I used two coats, and as with other Pretty Jelly holos, did not need to do anything special for the application.
Do you love Roseate as much as I do? Roseate and other beautiful polishes can be purchased on Etsy. But be forewarned: Liz doesn't make anything that isn't stunning. :) Stay tuned for more holo goodness later here in my Reverie!!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely day! <3
That's such a gorgeous pink holographic color. I like how soft the pink is too :)ReplyDelete
It's soft and lovely, but don't let it fool you...there's a lot of wow factor in there! <3Delete
Thank you for the lovely review! I can't get over how beautiful these swatches are. <3ReplyDelete
Uhhhh, I can't get over how beautiful Roseate is!! :) Like I've said before, you're a polish rock star. <3Delete
Um, yeah. Roseate was definitely made for you!! Oh myyyy, a rose holo. This goes along with my coral and peach polish needs. I need this one. BAD. I can't wait to see what other pretties from Pretty Jelly you got and what exactly would a polish named Vulture Vomit look like, haha!!!ReplyDelete
Oh my yes...a rose holo. Seriously, it's so pretty...you just wouldn't believe it. Who knows what Vulture Vomit would look like?? I just get royally offended by some of these names...not that anybody cares what I think, LOL. :PDelete
I'm so in love...<3ReplyDelete
Brag as much as you can because Rosetate looks like made for you!!! Absolutely beautiful. I hollered about your musings about the polish names - and I am so with you, at times I wish they would go for numbers because it is inoffensive and won't take up two lines of a paragraph - LOL!! I yet have to dip my nails into this brand and have a forboding, that this might be no cheap venture ;-) - you really captured this beauty in your photos - love them xxxReplyDelete
Ahhh, thank you, I do love how it looks on me!! :D And is it just me, or do stupid and unnecessarily long polish names get on your nerves?? You need to try Pretty Jelly...I've had consistently fantastic formulas in the holo and glitter varieties. <3Delete
Oh my gosh, the RIDICULOUS names that come out of indie makers. I'm with Christine, please, just number them instead. To each their own, and there are plenty folks highly entertained by such names but yes, kudos to Liz for putting such thought into making hers both beautiful and apropos. Roseate is GORGEOUS and completely and utterly perfect on you. I feel I'm compiling a mental list of Indies I'm Interested In and this one's now made my short list, hahaha (well, honestly, the list is quite short, anyway).ReplyDelete
I thought of you the moment I swiped this one on my nails! :) You would love the formula on it...and it's such a delicate and neutral color of pink. I'm so glad I got this one...I had wanted Mizzle, but it was sold out, so I decided on Roseate instead. But I still want Mizzle, LOL. :PDelete
