Tropi-Crazy!! Hare Polish Neon Palm

Hey everybody!  Don't you love Hare Polish?  Yep, I thought so.  Everybody does.  If you don't believe me, try finding your own bottle of Hooky at the Hamlet.  You can't.  Hare Polish fascinates me.  Not only are the colors very unique and the formulas great, but they are in such demand that once you get one, you know you have something valuable on your hands.  And nails. :)

So guess who just happened to be in the right place at the right time when Nikole announced a surprise soft launch of the new late summer collection??  Yours truly!  (And that's NOT Your's Truly.)  I took one look at the gorgeous collection, The Tropics Are Calling, and I instantly *knew* the one that is destined to become this collection's prize:  Neon Palm.

It's sparkly!  It's a jelly!  It's hot pink and murky green??  Yeah.  I know you hear this all the time, but this time, I really mean it.  You have *never* seen anything like this.  It's a festive party...but with a very dark side.  I see the whole story of the tropical craziness on my nails...can you see it?...picture it with me...

It's 1945...you're sitting in one of those incredibly popular Havana-esque music and dining spots, drinking some sort of fruit juice with a little umbrella sticking out of it.  Everything is bright, colorful, sparkly...hot pink flowers on the tables, the stage bedecked in palms, and the band's brass instruments flashing under the lights.  Ricky Ricardo takes the stage and starts singing "Babalu!!"  Then, out of nowhere, a hurricane blows in, creating mayhem with its pelting rain...the lights flicker on and off...when they come back on, the entire orchestra are an ensemble of bongo-playing zombies.  And they're all looking right at you and your brains.  After all, you're a smart girl to be reading a post about such a cool polish! :D  I guess what I'm trying to say is Neon Palm looks like scary paradise?  I know you understand...hey, at least I didn't use a food analogy. :)

In true Hare Polish style, Neon Palm's extremely glittery jelly formula spreads evenly on the nail.  It is opaque in 2 coats, but I used 3 for photos.  The hot pink and copper glitter pieces (hexes and squares) are more than abundant.  Just be sure to use an extra coat of top coat!

What do you think of Neon Palm?  I love the dusty green murkiness combined with the bold, sparkling colors.  Creepy in a very good way! :)  Unfortunately, it's sold out right now.  YAY me!! :)  But you will be able to get it very soon as Hare Polish will be sending it out to distributors.  YAY everybody!! :)

Thanks for stopping by...and don't forget to enter my giveaway!!  Have a lovely day! :)

  3. HAHAHAHAHA!!! I love your visual with the Havanese band that turns into zombies after a freak storm! LOLOL!!! :-D At first, it was TOTALLY reminding me of the movie "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights." Have you seen that one? Was my introduction to Sela Ward and man, do I love her!
Polish...polish...right! Ohhhh dear Hare Polish - this is fab - you're so right about all the Hares being just beyond amazing. I keep telling myself I need to SLOW DOWN on polish buying, but I CAN'T! Not with all these pretties popping up. :-( Btw, is Hooky at the Hamlet that like, neon-y minty teal with white glitters, or something? If so, now I REALLY wish I'd gotten it along with Let Them Eat...What? But then again, I was still an indie polish newbie, and $13 was a HUGE splurge, so I couldn't convince myself to get two! Your nails are lookin' top-notch, btw, and SUPER LONG!! :-D I'm a tish jealous, because mine are so ravaged from Fiddler. Nasty nubbins (& cutes)! I haven't been able photograph anything I've worn lately.

    2. Yes, blame it all on Duri Rejuvacote! :D Emily...go get yourself some Rejuvacote! Liesl's excellent advice has transformed my nails. Because my nail beds are so little you can't really tell, but my free edge is very long. Hooky at the Hamlet IS the one you're thinking of...you need to check this new collection out too...so much pretty stuff. And I'm so glad to hear from you, girlie!! :)

    3. Oh, I've checked it out!! And GUESS which one I just bought on Llarowe's release? YUP. NEON PALM!! I was debating between that one and Washed Ashore, or whatever... the pinky peach jelly one. I ALMOST got both, but I've been on such a polish buying spree lately that I forced myself to pick one. So I thought of your lovely swatches and the uniqueness of this polish and decided YUP, that's THE ONE!! :D
I really should find myself some Rejuvacote. My nailsies are growing soooo slowly. :( Oh AND I broke both middle finger nails a couple days ago - once they were finally getting a free edge. GAHHH!

  7. It *might* be considered to be a food analogy to the undead among us who happen to read your blog. , depending on.... Anyhoo, you're totally right, this is ALL tropical-storm-descending-on-a-happening-Havana-nightclub. I despise zombies so I won't include that portion of your description in mine, despite my first sentence... I love these bottles SO, SO MUCH!! BUNNIES!!!! :D

    1. Heh heh...I am sorry. I had to throw that in...my brother-in-law in actually a blogger for a big Walking Dead fansite, so I guess I had zombies on the brain...er, no pun intended. :) But YES! I'm so glad you see the connection with the Caribbean party gone nuts!! My sister agreed, but said she envisioned Barry Manilow doing "Copacabana" instead, but I had a very clear mental picture of Ricky Ricardo...

  10. Hi Melissa! What an unusual blend! It's one of those pretty-ugly polishes in my opinion! I really like it but I don't think I'll wear it ;) It looks great on you though! xx

  11. Hi Melissa, how can it be I have not commented on this beauty??? Slap self :-(!!! I think I was commenting in my mind - not very helpful, eh? This is so delicate and soft yet with a punk edge - and absolutely beautiful on you!!! I am a Hare Polish fan and very much like their concept of truly contrasting base/glitter combinations - oh and yes, this is now on my WL ;-)

    1. Thanks Christine! I was utterly fascinated by this glitter/base combo. And would you believe that yesterday my Mom wore a pink and green dress and THIS polish on her nails? It matched perfectly, and she looked so hip, LOL... :)
