I went down to Walgreens, after checking Yun's post *one more time* to make sure the Tinks were, in fact, a Walgreens exclusive. Well...no Tink Collection in the building. Pooh. But they did have a wonderful selection of the SinfulShine polishes...
I compromised and got a deliciously girly pink by SinfulShine, Yours Truly.
SinfulShine polishes contain a polymer they call "Gel Tech", which is supposed to give the glossy shine of acrylic UV gel. I don't know how it compares to a gel polish, because I've never used it, but this polish is very glossy. It has a good application, and I used 3 coats just to try to cover up that ever-present visible nail line. However, the glossy shine did dull a bit after 24 hours, which in my opinion isn't bad, considering the way polishes behave on me. And these photos were taken after 24 hours. The tip wear you see is half of what I usually have after a day.
I have never had a SinfulColors polish before now. I guess I always figured at $1.99 (or $1.98 at Low Price Leader Wal-Mart! :D), they couldn't possibly be any good. I also don't care for the word "sinful" in the name. I mean...there's enough sin and depravity in the world without my nails traveling down the road to perdition as well. Anyway...the SinfulShine line retails for $2.99 each. I like Yours Truly so much that I wish I'd picked up a couple more. The entire collection is 32 colors!!
Have you tried any SinfulShine polishes yet? And most importantly...have you entered my Warm and Fuzzy Indie-tastic Giveaway??
Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely day! :)
Well, you're one up on me. I'm not sure I could have purchased that polish with that glaring of a grammar error! I haven't tried the SinfulShine line but I have many from Sinful Colors.
ReplyDeleteBTW, still chuckling about nails being on the road to perdition!
LOL!! I know, right?? And yeah...the fact that this color was SO pretty forced me to let that punctuation error slide! :)
DeleteI really like Sinful Colors polishes! I have thought about trying the SinfulShine polishes, but the cashier at Walgreens said they were really thick and took forever to dry. I listened to her advice because I'm rather impatient. ;) I like this polish a lot! It's a shame they made such a huge grammar error.
ReplyDeleteThis one wasn't thick, but it did take a while to dry...but I really think it's because of the humidity here. Everything takes forever to dry! I was pleasantly surprised with how pretty this is...but that apostrophe...oh my...
DeleteThis is such a pretty pink! I own a few Sinful Colors from their normal line and I really like them for the price. There great!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a lovely pink...I guess I need to try a regular SC polish. :)
DeleteWe saw the Tinks at our Walgreens... let one of us know if you can't find one....
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you so much for offering! :) I believe Sweet Yun is sending me something. :) You guys are the best. ;)
DeleteHi Melissa, so glad to have you back here - missed ya!!! But then I hope you had a wonderful break :-)!!! As to Yours Truly: what a pretty pink - it looks perfect on you!!! And tipwear? I had to scroll back and heft my eyeball to the screen - this is really minimal and hardly noticeable with this kind of pink. As for being tempted: haha and this from the lady who tempted me so often!!! But I so know what you mean when talking about Yun's Blog - she did that so often to me. I will have to check-out the other Blog as well. I love my few Sinful Colors - they are unavailable here in Switzerland but luckily I work in a heavy travel Environment and I can ask my colleagues every so often to bring back some polish for me - LOL!!! Take care xxx
ReplyDeleteYAY! It's nice to be missed! :) Thanks Christine! I have to say I was impressed with the tipwear. And the color is really beautiful too...I just really love this polish. I can't believe how inexpensive it is!
Deletewow this color is so feminine and perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It is quite the feminine little lady. ;)
DeleteSo many times have I considered making a Stuff Other Bloggers Made Me Buy a permanent feature, lol. And I love that you went in to WG for one thing but left with another because you can't just walk out empty-handed, now, can ya? ;D I've been meaning to trek over to WG and check out these Gel Shine colors, you just may be that last push I need... I do have the day off and should probably spend it doing something other than commenting on polish blogs... something like buying MOAR NAIL POLISH. This is a RULLY pretty pink on you and I like the bracelet a lot :)
ReplyDeleteLOLOL...it's a necklace, and I had a fit getting it to behave! :/ You're right...I couldn't walk out empty-handed...but you ought to try these. I think you will really be impressed. Their staying power is great. I'm so glad you had this idea too!! I'm always trying to come up with interesting ideas...I'm currently considering "My All-Time Worst Colors Week."
DeleteThanks for the sweet shout-out, Melissa! Poooo, I hate when you love a polish and then you go to the store and it's not there! Grr... makes me have flashbacks of trying to track down certain polishes without success. Love this light pink on you! It's sweet and lovely! <3
ReplyDelete~ Yun
Thank you! You know, I wouldn't have ever thought that I would have trouble finding that one?? You just never know...but sweet blogging buds like you ease the disappointment. <3
DeleteOh man, I cringed at that error! Gorgeous shade though :)
ReplyDeleteI know, right? What were they thinking?? Oh, but such a pretty pink...should we forgive them? :P
DeleteUgh, hate misplaced apostrophes -.- I've been looking for something like that too, I'll have to drop by Walgreens :)
ReplyDeleteI think you'll like them! I was rather impressed for $2.99. :)
