Sally Hansen Triple Shine, Chapter 3

Hey everybody!  Here am I, back yet again with some super-shiny prize winnings. :D  Tonight I'm continuing my Sally Hansen Triple Shine post series with two really pretty cremes.

First up is Pixie Slicks, a delicate baby pink.

Pixie Slicks is a charming little pink that's truly pink...and it doesn't have that vague coral-ish look about it that annoys me to no end. :)  Formula on this was good.  I used three coats, which I've had to do on the Triple Shines in my attempts to...well, you know the story.

Next I have a color that really made an impression on me, and for a couple of reasons: Statemint.  One reason is because this is plainly not mint.  It's chartreuse.  The other reason is because it IS chartreuse, and I LOVE it.  I love the way this looks.

Why do I love this?  I think it's because it offers all the brightness of yellow without actually being yellow. There is just enough to green in there to make it really interesting.  I used 3 coats of the decidedly not-minty Statemint.

Fun fact:  Statemint is the exact color of a banana pepper.  See?

Better than my famous food analogies...it's PROOF!!

So, do you like the latest installment of Triple Shine colors?  And how are you feeling about Statemint?

Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely day! :)

  2. Hi Melissa - both of them are gorgeous - Pink Slick for its pinkiness that gives you a tan and Statemint is THE stunner! If I would have to pick two from the polishes you showed so far it would be this and the turquoise you showed last time!!! Have a wonderful start of the week xxx

    1. AHHHHH but I don't want a tan!! NEVERRRRR!! :P Trust me...it doesn't give ME a tan. :D I agree about Statemint. I first bought it because I thought it was pretty crazy-looking...but then I was all "ooooh..."

  3. Statemint is as mint as Espresso is espresso. These companies and their names, lol.... So I'd forgotten about your propensity towards the jolie laide colors. This makes me completely reassess my summation of your style, which I knew I wasn't nailing, anyway... You're a tough nut to crack! ♥ It's a wonderful shade on you-- you wear those avant garde shades so remarkably well.

    1. "A tough nut to crack"...that was something my husband called me not long after we first met. :P Well...who doesn't love a mystery?? :) Ahhh, thank you. I don't consider myself avant garde, but you know me...I do love me some weird color polish. :D
