I picked up Jealous, Much? at TJ Maxx in a double-pack of polishes, and I really like it. It's a very nice minty pistachio creme from the 2012 Cool Romance collection. The first coat goes on horribly patchy, but I used three coats total, and everything evened out very well.
For my thumb and ring finger I used Orly Sparkling Garbage, a polish that simply needs no explanation. You've heard about this one all summer long...and with good reason.
Sparkling Garbage is a scattered holo in a green jelly base. I layered two coats over the Jealous, Much? for 100% pure awesomeness!
Is it just me, or is this AMAZING? |
So...don't be jealous of my garbage!! Run get yourself some Orly...especially Sparkling Garbage, since the Mash-Up Collection is limited edition. I got the last one at my Ulta, and I'm really glad I did.
If garbage looks THIS good, then call me trashy!! :)
And guess what? My giveaway ends tonight at midnight, so enter before the clock strikes 12 and you turn back into a tattered servant girl who sings with the mice!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely day! :)
Gorgeous paring together! Sparkling Garbage is on my wishlist :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I got it...it really is wonderful! :) Go get yourself one, Lisa!!
DeleteOkay, I'm convinced - I NEED Sparkling Garbage! :)
ReplyDeleteJustina, you started a blog!! You've always been so encouraging liking my posts! I'm your newest follower. <3
DeleteOh, and yes, you do need Sparkling Garbage. :D
Yay - thank you so much!!! <3
DeleteI love sparkling garbage!
ReplyDeleteIt really is special, isn't it? :)
DeleteHehe I chuckled when I heard about the double-stuffed oreo story. Someone actually went to the trouble of checking. :) Love this mani! Green always looks so happy and fresh on nails, and these two colors look great together. :)

Why yes...that was important scientific research! :) My skin usually doesn't play nice with pastels, but this surprised me...the formula was really nice.
DeleteI love the Sparkling Garbage (sounds really weird when you say it though lol)! Also, I've nominated you for a Liebster Award! http://the-nail-snail.blogspot.com/2013/08/liebster-award-nominations.html (I think you already have one though...)
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you so much! :) I did get nominated before...I might do it again if I can think of *anything* interesting to say about myself! :P
DeleteI love Sparkling Garbage - it's such a gorgeous polish!
ReplyDeleteI know...it really is. Orly kind of gets lost among the others, but they really created something special here.
DeleteWell if it's not double all that greasy creamy sugary whatever the heck that conglomeration is, then what is it?!? Travesty, indeed.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to see Sparkling Garbage irl (and it's not for lack of regularly stalking every local Orly distributor) so I will have to settle for ogling any and all photos of it. It looks beautiful against your skin, in addition to being completely and utterly gorgeous on its own, AND I'm a tad jelly of your ability to wear mint greens without looking crustacean-esque ♥♥
LOL!! Why thank you. :D My stark whiteness would have rendered me the perfect artist's model back in the Pre-Raphaelites' day. *sigh* I can't believe you can't find this... :( I kept seeing it on blogs and finally decided to pick it up. It's really delicate-looking for a crazy colorful holo, if that makes sense. :)
DeleteI love this manicue! Absolutely flawless! I think you know how much I'm obsessed with Sparkling Garbage.. ;) Let's be honest, half of the reason I bought the polish is because of how much fun it is to say "Sparkling Garbage." :D
ReplyDeleteLOL!! :) Thanks, I just kinda happened to notice that these 2 polishes went really well together. I don't have very good luck with pastel cremes, but I like Jealous, Much? quite a bit! Let me try: Sparkling Garbage...SPARKling Garbage...Sparkling GARBAGE...Sparkling GarBAHHHGE...
DeleteIsn't Sparkling Garbage gorgeous? I want to try to make a hot pink version....
ReplyDeleteIt truly is gorgeous, and OH MY. Please do. :D
DeleteHi Melissa, just back from Wikipedia, I had to google Oreos as I never heard from them before. I had no idea that they are around since 1912 so no wonder they have become such a tradition in your country. Oreos is probably not easy to buy here but then I have not a sweet tooth - I think I bought my last cookies a year ago or so!! But we talk nailpolish here, right? Those Orly's look stunning on you and that green cream is too beautiful. As for the "garbage" - delicate and funky at the same time I find, no?
ReplyDeleteWow, never heard of Oreos? That's every American kid's favorite part of being a kid...at least it was in the 70's. :D And I am so jealous that you don't have a sweet tooth...sugar and I have had this really destructive thing going on for ages. But back to POLISH!! Yes, these are 2 really lovely Orlys, and I think delicate and funky sounds just right! When you think about it, green polish in itself is rather funky! :)
DeleteSOoooo i tried to leave a comment here yesterday and after I had typed my rather lengthy piece, I his publish, and was greeted with a 404 error D: Then, when I clicked on your name on my dashboard, it took me to google's homepage! What the heck, mann?!? Anyhoo, we'll try this again and if you're reading this, it means SUCCESS!! I have yet to see Sparkling Garbage in real life. It looks amazing in photos and amazing on you, in addition... you wear that mint green beautifully, too, not a hint of crustacean in that skin, you lucky gal :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a little bit confused...I see your comment about 4 up and I replied to it...can you not see it here? That's weird!! :/
DeleteOooh, these were meant for each other. Sparkling Garbage is so popular these days. Perhaps I need to take a look at it in real life. I have been avoiding Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply lately - but I think that is going to change soon.
ReplyDeleteI hear you...I *need* to avoid it. Sparkling Garbage is really special too. I'm interested to try it in a jelly sammich. ;)
