Zoyas I Love: Crystal, Perrie, and Edyta

Hey everybody!  Have you heard about the serious epidemic going around this week?  It's called Zoya Fever! :)  Zoya is running their buy 3 for $12 promo, and I'm telling you...it's really hard to decide what you want...isn't it??  I love Zoya to bits, and when I look at their colors, it's a bit overwhelming when you know you get 3 and they have about 867 that you love. :P

So...here am I...donning my public servant cap to *maybe* help you arrive at a decision!  Isn't that nice of me? :)  First up is, without a doubt, one of Zoya's loveliest polishes, Crystal.

I LOVE Crystal.  It's a beautiful ice blue metallic foil with a very heavy gold shimmer.  The gold is so highly visible in Crystal that on the nail, this polish looks mottled...almost like a Saran wrap mani.  Just gorgeous!!

I think I am one of the 6 people on the planet who doesn't own Zoya Charla. :)  For me, Crystal has that magical feel that everybody ascribes to Charla...it's ethereal and flawless.  And of course, just the fact that it's a Zoya foil should tell you how fantastic it is!  The application is wonderful and the formula perfect.

Another of my Zoya faves is a polish that I don't think has gotten much airtime...Perrie.  Perrie is sort of like the creme version of the my shimmery love Dannii

Perrie is a cool-toned medium orchid purple....YES there's that very popular word again!  Zoya describes this color as lavender, but it just doesn't look very lavender on me.  Don't get me wrong, it looks FABULOUS...just a bit deeper than lavender. :D

Perrie's formula is a little thin, but it's easy to work with and levels out pretty well.  I didn't have any flooding with it.  I like this color better and better each time I wear it...and I predict a lot of gals will pick this one up this week. :)

Last up, I have a Zoya that's textbook me:  strange!!  Meet the complex and incomparable Edyta.

Oh myyyyy.  My own photos are renewing my amour for Edyta.  This is the perfect non-shade to confuse and delight all your friends!  Is it brown?  Maybe.  Is it green?  Possibly.  Is it AWESOME??  Oh yes.  It's a delicious metallic shimmer multiple personality in a bottle! :)

Look at that sparkle!  And what color IS said sparkle?  Who knows??  Yes, Edyta is that confusing.  And how I LOVE it!!  Let's see what Zoya has to say about this color:  "A complex mixture of gold, olive, blue-green and smoky grey with a sparkling metallic finish."  Clear as mud!  Hey!  It kinda does look like mud!  An oh-so-glamorous mud. :)

You love this one, don't you? :)  If you love crazy shimmery, and if you love weird, Edyta is your girl.  You will be in love with the bizarre elegance and cock your head to the side more than once as you try to figure her out...

Have I assisted you with any choices?  I doubt it, but I flatter myself to think I could *possibly* sway somebody to choose my recommendations... :)

Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely day!

  2. LOVE Edyta. She was the third Zoya I bought and she is indeed indescribable. Perrie reminds me very much of one of my fave BL shades (and the one they're calling their "radiant orchid"), Molly Coddled. And Crystal.... I've had Crystal for a year and have not yet done so much as swatch on one nail. I couldn't tell you what I'm waiting for. I fell in love with an OPI not available in the US called Gazing Pool (or something) and learned that Crystal is a copy, so I picked that one up during the sale at this time last year. Your photos tell me clearly that I need to wear it already <3<3<3

    1. I didn't think about Molly Coddled, but you're right. :) AHHH, you NEED to try Crystal! It is beautiful. I love Zoya's foils due to the fact that a kindergartner can apply them. And I think Crystal would look great with your skin. <3

    2. Yes, oh, yes. The one brand I was only mildly embarrassed to post about in the early days ;)

  3. I am trying to be on a no-buy and it is SO HARD. I even had my three Zoyas picked out but decided not to at the last second. Edyta and Crystal are both KILLING me though. So complex and gorgeous!

    1. I actually found Edyta last year on the Ulta clearance rack. It looks like a mash-up of OPI Number One Nemesis and butter LONDON Wallis...pretty cool. :)

  4. I love Crystal, it is one of my all-time favorite Zoyas. And Edyta is gorgeous too!

I ordered some Pixie Dusts with the promo. And picked up some more at Ulta because they were discounted. I'm so bad!

    1. Yeah, Crystal is so pretty...I don't know why, but I haven't even considered getting Pixie Dusts. I think in the back of my mind, I'm thinking the trend has got to expire within a few months. The Lacquerologist predicts it'll be satins now! LOL!

  5. You have some awesome Zoyas for us Melissa, I would not be able to name a favorite though Crystal is the only one I have - and still sits in my untrieds - le sigh.... Perry reminds me how much I love a regular cream and how rarely I currently wear them as I am so into Indies... Now of course I wonder: have you decided on any to pick? My wallet gets a rest as Zoya doesn't deliver outside the US ;-)

    1. AHHH! Why haven't you girls tried your Crystal?? You will love it. :) Isn't it funny how we get stuck on something like indies and forget about other things we love? And uh...I am not sure I'm going to snag any this go around... :/

    1. Ahhh, thank you dear! I didn't know until recently that Zoya didn't ship overseas...that is really too bad! Perrie is such a lovely color too. :)

  7. I totally missed out on the sale:( I would have picked up some from the Zenith Collection...I love those. These are beautiful too. I wonder what the difference is between Hazel and Crystal. Hazel is one of my favorite Zoya's....in fact, I just wore it the other day! Zoya's foils are perfect...I love the ease of application. I agree, it is very hard to choose which Zoya's to buy when they have a sale...they have so many awesome shades! I think their site needs a "most popular/most loved" link.

    1. Yeah...I ended up not giving in. I do love a few from Zenith too. And if I'm not mistaken, Crystal is bluer than Hazel, and the gold flecks in it are really yellow. It's a gorgeous polish. I think that's an interesting idea for Zoya to have a most popular shades link!
