Sally Hansen Satin Glam: Taffeta and Teal Tulle

Hey everybody!  Today I thought I would grace you with another post chronicling my love affair with the Satin Glam line by Sally Hansen. :D  I did a post on Go Gold a few weeks ago...but I just had to go back to Ulta and pick up a couple more of these beautiful polishes.  They are just so festive.  And WOW are they pretty! :)

First up is the color that happens to be the same hue as Pantone's newly named color of the year for 2014.  Feast your eyes on the loveliness that is Taffeta!

Taffeta is a medium orchid purple with a bit of warmth to it.  Sally Hansen's website says that the Satin Glam polishes are infused with pearl particles...I can believe that.  These polishes have a glow that can only be described as pearly.

I used two coats and no top coat, of course.  The finish is smooth, satiny, and absolutely elegant.

Next I have the Satin Glam that I can't believe I didn't buy in the first place, Teal Tulle.  What a beauty this is!

ARGH.  I die.  So gorgeous.  Teal Tulle is a soft, true aqua that glows like crazy under the lights.

I used two coats and no top coat.  And then I stared at it for hours and hours. :D

Application on the Satin Glams is fabulously mistake-proof.  YAY!!  This time around, I had much less of an issue with dry time than before, so I am guessing that was all weather related.

The Satin Glams are insanely lovely polishes that I can't recommend enough.  You will love the elegant finish on these.  And let me add that if you are not a textured polish lover, the Satin Glams are sort of like a texture "lite" because you won't mess with your nails while you wear these, and of course they aren't gritty.  They are truly their own unique finish and do in fact feel like a satin ribbon. :)

I hope you're enjoying all these holiday drugstore polish posts...I am so impressed with what is coming out these days!  Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely day! <3

    1. Yes you MUST. You will love them! It's so crazy how you don't see anybody talking about them! As a matter of fact, the display at my Ulta is only missing one besides the 3 I bought, LOL. The Satin Glams are fabulously lovely. <3

    2. I stopped by Ulta for a haircut today and picked up two of the colors (Taffeta and Chic Pink). I blame your bad influence. :P My store had the display hidden in some random aisle, so I was the first person to grab any colors from the display. I can't wait to try the colors. Thanks for bring these to my attention. :D

  2. Taffeta is the one I picked up recently, and I'm wearing it now...SUCH a pretty color! As much as I like the "satin" feel of this line, I have to admit that I prefer Taffeta with top coat because it REALLY brings out the awesome shimmers. :)

    1. The Queen of Teal?? My, what an honor coming from Viscountess Vamp herself!! :P Yes...elegant is the word here. I am feeling so fancy these days that I may start wearing a tiara to the office. :D You have a great week as well. :)

  6. This seems like it might be a good alternative to matte polish. Does it last long? I can't do matte anymore because it chips within a day :( These are beautiful! Great photos.

    1. I wore Go Gold for two days with no chips...I wore Teal Tulle for a day and had a touch of tip wear on one finger. And you know that's pretty good for me...polish wears so badly on me. :/ This comes in a black, and I'm curious to know how that looks. :)

    2. The black is gorgeous, and my favorite of the lot. It's just a shade shy of true black, so it's not gaudy, since the pearlescent quality gives it some deep, subtle shimmer. I'm very hard on my nail polish, and this stuff just lasts and lasts for me; it's like a thin top coat of sparkly granite!

I wish they'd make it more colors. It would be great in garnet, pale pink, mid-deep blue and coral.

    3. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict they will make more. You heard it here first! :P

  7. I have yet to see these (or Lime Basil) anywhere in my 'hood, sadly. I am in LOOOOVE with Taffeta. I just think that's one of the prettiest shades of purple ever created (and it makes me want to try my hand at not killing another orchid). "Like a satin ribbon"... I know I'd be caught shamelessly brushing my nailses against my cheek wearing these.

    1. I hope you get them in your area! Taffeta is indeed gorgeous!! It would look smashing on you, and so would Chic Pink. And I love how the texture on these is so non-offensive. :D
